Sooo Loooong....

This past week felt insanely long.  I'm so happy it's over but I know the weekend is not going to be nearly long enough for my liking.

Discovered the amazingness of Betty Crocker's Reeses Puffs muffings this week at Girls Night with Jasmine and Lacey.  Also watched last weekend's Inkigayo and I still have not watched the other kpop shows from last weekend that I usually watch.  As I said week was long but so tiring I just didn't get around to it ya know.

Also this week one of the cars decided to eat a little money.  Anytime I get my savings account looking any sort of good or right something happens and a car needs money spent on it.  Logan blew out a tire on the way to work and becuase the front two were older than the back two we put two new tires on the car (almost $200 gone).

Last night went to a gallery viewing for our friend Alice and some of the other UTDallas seniors.  I really enjoy Alice's work.  I find it quite fascinating.  Her blog: http://alicegardnerbates.blogspot.com/
Afterwards went to my favorite eattery Sapporo Ramen & Sushi in Richardson with Jasmine & Jim and Debbie & Crockett.

Today was a lot of random errands this morning that wore me the hell out.  Got up early to help my parents pack their car and they are gone off to the east coast for 2 weeks.  So I brought my doll customizing stuff over so I'm not having to mess with my dad's respiratory issues and sealant fumes.  Sure I'm doing it outside and all, but it's really inconenient to go out on the patio spray and then possibly bring a few fumes back in with me that will set him off and then to paint have to take stuff to the back of the house.  So basically I waited for them not to be here so I can just walk out on the patio and do my spraying  then come back in and paint just here in the den.  I've spent most of this afternoon though putzing around on the internet but part of it has resulted in finally after a week posting progress pics of my blythe custom:

I'm really happy how it turned out though she still has some work to go but the painting is complete.  Was hoping I would have done some more today, and still might yet, but not sure.  My big thing today was getting it out there and sharing it.

I've pretty much spent the time since I got back home from morning errands on my computer doing a combo of posting these pics in places, being distracted by U-KISS pictures (especially of my fave member, Kevin), and watching kpop MVs on Mnet America.  Logan is up at the game shop gaming today so I've just been kind of having a day to myself. Been enjoying it even though it's been sort of unproductive (physically though quite productive internet-illy).

All the stuffs

Crazy times as usual.  So found out they are planning Grandma's service for August 4th and in the end there is not enough people to make driving viable, therefore we cannot afford to go becuase flying is too much since they did not hold the service within 14 days of the death.  We're both a bit upset by this, but all the same will follow through our original plans to go to Austin on the 4th for BJDC, then trek back that night and me wake up stupidly early the next morning to go to Blythecon.

This weekend was a lot of fun but there was a lot of out and about.  Joined some doll friends at Yogurtland in Southlake then proceeded from there to run around toy hunting around that general area.  Afterwards ended up back at Jim & Jasmine's place for breakfast for dinner.  Made a whole day of one intended outting and it was hecka fun!

Sunday we got some laundry done and then headed out to Highland Village to see the Herrington-Kelso crew.  I was sooooo happy to get to see Kelly.  I haven't seen her for a month and a half and it was apparently killing both of us as we broke into tears hugging for like 5 minutes.  We hung out for the afternoon and I took the stuff I needed to work on my Blythe and have her faceup and eyelid painting done.  I couldn't thank Kelly enough for just letting me come take over half her kitchen table to work on my doll while she cleaned up a dolly body and did some oxi-bath work on a doll that's going to be a gift to her niece.   All things went well until the death cake though.  It had traces of nuts and she's deathly allergic so she gave us all a bit of a scare but we got some benedryl shoved down her throat and things slowly but surely got better.  We also procured Logan's Dad's bday present from her as well.   Who doesn't love getting something practically new for used friend pricing?

Speaking also of buying bday presents, I finished shopping for Brittany's bday Friday night and am so super excited.  Wanting her bday next Friday to hurry up and get here so I can see her face.  I'm so excited about it, seriously can't you all tell?

I would post more about my blah-tastic day at work, but it's bed time so I guess I'll leave this at this.

Life happens...

So still at the parents house.  They've finally driven us a teensie bit nuts.  I'm ODing on soda and we went out and spent way too much money this past weekend on toys and books.  Had a heck of a great Half Price Books haul and also a decent haul on doll and nerf stuff from a great Target toy dept clerance sale.  Though I have to say this was all probably a bit of retail therapy.

Not only have my parents driven us a bit nutty, but this past week we lost Logan's grandmother, Grandma Goat.  She was visiting her other grandchilden and great grandchildren in Wisconsin when the lord called her home.  She was very loved and will be very greatly missed.  Last thing I can remember us telling her was that it was great to see her and that we loved her which was almost two months ago.  She only lived here in the area with family for the last year, but there's been so many good memories with her even before she moved here for the time that she did.  Currently the plan was that she would be cremated in WI and brought back home to CA where she was about to get all the arrangements finished to move back to.  They are having a service for her sometime soon.  We still don't have a date.  One of our aunts is handling this and we haven't head anything yet other than it may be a weekend that confilicts drastically with plans we'd already had which has had me very upset.  I figure if it does happen that weekend I will be upset if I go and upset if I say.  The husband has told me to stay and do my double doll convention plans.  I figure he would probably me be upset and not have to be around me than be stuck in a car with other family members for two days with me upset.  All the same I just wish they would tell us a date so we can figure things out.  My job is still waiting for me to tell them whether I need time off to go or not.  She passed the 4th of July but the last heard tentative date for the service was Aug 4.... not very comforting.

I had a pretty terrible Monday this week.  Had to work an odd shift at work which was a really slow dragging day and then was frustrated all day about the funeral service thing.  Tuesday was better but still sort of dragging.  Today was decent, though work at work is pretty slow right now which always makes for some mild annoyance from everybody.

Got home today and got to watch a little TV while eating dinner before the parents came home.  They came home and I retreated to the bedroom.  Had bigger better plans for my evening but am now trying to figure out what I actually did do.  I looked at doll stuff and blogged... how exciting.  I didn't even do all the stuff I usually do on poupee girl and I didn't watch this week's Inkigayo yet.  It's now almost 9:30 and the husband will be here any minute.  Is it sort of odd I'd rather not see him and I don't know why...  I guess I'm just in an odd funk today.

Oh yah, that blog thing I do...

Somehow I always try to remind myself to blog, but as usual don't get around to doing it.  I do well with it for a week or so but then fall off for a month or something.  I think it's just time these days.  I used to blog all the time when I was in college and then I sit and think the time I spent in classes plus the time I worked part time should theoretically add up to approximately the same time I work now.  I just need more sleep these days I guess.  Getting so old lol.

This past weekend was pretty good.  Plans I had for Saturday got canceled because my friend wasn't feeling well and mainly because of some medicine to heal something that wasn't making her really physically sick. So I ended up spending the day home with my husband.  I say home but I really mean my parents house at the moment.  There is a slab leak back home and most of our bedroom carpet is soaked so we had to move everything out of our room.  Landlord/best friend is doing his best to try and get it fixed as quickly as possible, but having issues with insurance people getting back to him.  So we're looking at being here until mid July.  This weekend Hallmark channel was playing a marathon of I Love Lucy which I spent most of my Saturday watching because I will forever love that show and never see it enough times ever.
Sunday I went up to my friends' shop Baubles & Frills up in Denton.  I got to teach a doll re-stringing class for a very lovely new-ish dolly owner.  It was a lot of fun and I'm glad I could be helpful and informative and instructed her how to string her doll mainly getting he to work with it hands on and do as much of it herself as was easily managable.  Afterwards helped my friend Gina do some hot glue sueding and restringing to some project dolls she's working on.  Came home and my dad and husband had been grilling all afternoon and cooked up a bunch of food and some family and friends came over.  It was good times.  Then flipping through cable channels I find out my parents have the Mnet America channel and I'm like SHUT UP!  MNET ON MAH CABLE!!!  It was exciting despite the M!Countdown episodes and Music Videos on their MV show are maybe about a month to month and a half old.  But it's still really exciting and definitely shows the power of hallyu.  Caught up on my Kpop programing from last week

This morning started watching this past weekends Music Bank special show.  It was such a fun special.  I almost didn't skip over anything.  It was fun seeing people back again and seeing current groups who are promoting going strong.  And all the fun mash-ups.  B1A4 + APink was just tooo precious, it was like cuteness overload and totally a great thing to start my later to become pretty grrr-tastic Monday.  After coming home from work and watching the rest of the show it was very enjoyable.  I was amused by the Infinite + Teen Top, but it was pretty good.  Also was totally digging Shinee!  They looked and sounded AMAZING!  Okay so enough of the fangirling talk.

Work as I said was very grr-tastic.  One of the other leads called in and I had to sort of haphazard do at least a part of her job so we could get one project rolling for the day.  I'm anticipating tomorrow to be a bit heavy since both jobs that I worked on today that involved mail from a PO Box were more than usually light for a Monday.  Might I add I did A LOT of walking back and forth in my building today.  Was pretty tiresome and so happy I've got new shoes.  I got really annoyed at one point becuase ladies that are in the primary room I work in were being very complaintative and non-compliant about what our boss instructed them to do.  It was just sad and dumb (which of course annoyed me).  Anyways I hope tomorrow is a better work day.

That's pretty much all I can think that I wanted to get out there for right now.  Let's see how well I remember I'm totally supposed to be doing this more often.
