Want to stop getting sick

This past Saturday I went to my grandmother's 97th birthday party. She was doing better than my mother last described her and of course better than the last time I saw her which was at my father's memorial service. I bought her a scarf which just happened to go with what she was wearing so it went straight on. Somehow I can't seem to do wrong with a scarf as I never have no clue what to get her.

Saturday night we finally finished Downton Abbey and gyyaaaaaa all the rage screams!!!!! Still avidly looking forward to season 4.

Sunday the husband had to go to work (which he was originally supposed to be off) so I spent the day home alone. I felt something coming on and had a runny nose all day and by evening was full blown sinus crud of doom sick. Spent most of my afternoon fixating on U-KISS because this weekend was their comeback week. I do quite like their new album collage but after watching the MV and 4 live performances there are so many feelings that I'm not even sure how cohesive and coherent putting them into words would be.... The result: promoting a duet?!, tired, too tight of pants, man whore host look, wtf caresses, and oh gawd Kevin's cute as always.....yah I think there's no real explanation without having examples of what brought thoughts to mind and then sharing it with someone who's actually into Kpop. I did spend a good 3 or so hours dedicated to looking at and watching U-KISS things, and now also actually do follow them all on twitter like a good faithful little kissme.

Got caught up and watched new ep of walking dead. I found both eps had trouble keeping my attention and I missed a good chunk of talking dead cause we watch AMC through fios on the Xbox and the fios app/connection kept screwing up.

Last night barely slept only a few hours cause I woke myself up, and the husband, being sinus congested as all get out. Woke up when my alarm went off and said hell to this shit and called into work sick. Have felt half miserable all day. Went out at one point and got myself some NyQuil and DayQuil which have been helpful. I did a wee bit of cleaning work on one of my manga projects then abandoned it for Downton Abbey fandom time on tumblr in which I found quite a lovely fanfic which consumed quite a bit of time. Tumblr is both wonderful and bad but I definitely found a quote I loved today that I feel explained the site quite eloquently; "It's chaos. It's like a happy chaos."
